About Volusia Medical Center

Family Practice, Pediatrics

Located at 711 Beville Rd, South Daytona, FL 32119, Volusia Medical Center operates as a medical clinic serving South Daytona in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Many people looking for a dentist also need a doctor, and this group lists the medical clinics, family physicians, urgent care and walk-in centers, hospitals, pediatricians, eye doctors, medical specialists and pharmacies near the dental practices on the site. Primary care in the US runs through family doctors and internists who coordinate referrals; urgent care centers handle minor injuries and illnesses without an appointment for far less than an emergency room; hospitals with emergency departments are the place for severe facial trauma or a dental infection that spreads. Pharmacies fill the antibiotics and pain medication a dentist prescribes and sell fluoride rinses and prescription-strength toothpaste.

I really like the one doctor I have met (Dr. Julian), and the front desk staff are friendly. I have only two complaints: 1) Every single time I call, it immediately puts me on hold for several minutes until I'm forced to leave a message. And I don't always get a timely call back. For example, I called on a Tuesday recently about a prescription I wasn't given at my visit, and didn't hear anything until the next day. Then on a Friday morning I called first thing in the morning with a question about an important med, had to leave a message, and didn't get a call back until 4PM, an hour before they closed, saying they didn't have an answer from the doctor for me. Even after having ALL day to review my ONE question. Not much help for pain relief over the weekend! It would be nice to reach a person right away. 2) My second complaint is that apparently my doctor is Luong, but I have never met her. I always have a NP. It would be extra nice to meet my supposed doctor, but she's never there. Or if she is there, I've never seen her.

I have been a patient for about 3 years. I have an extensive medical background but haven’t really mentioned it. I have the most wonderful P.A.with Julian Johnson. He always listens and gets to the root of the problem. Just a month ago, when I told him I was having pain in my arm, he quickly said β€œ it’s not your arm that’s a problem, it’s your neck.” I was shocked. I had surgery three weeks ago and am doing great! Thanks β€œDr.” Julian.

The staff at Volusia Medical Center has always been there for me. Julian Johnson has seen me for almost 10 years now & I've had a few health issues that he has been able to address & handle which has improved my life immensely. From a nose surgery that I needed for many year's to be able to breathe properly to the Hernia Repair surgery that I recently had done βœ… thanks to Julian & the staff at Volusia Medical Center . Thank you πŸ™ guys and GODBLESS you all !!

They told me on the phone that in order to become a patient I had to fill out documents by email that would then take multiple weeks to be processed to check my insurance and such and then after that I’d be able to book one? Why would I wait multiple weeks to then book an appointment for multiple weeks out. I refuse to normalize doing a bunch of crap on my phone for doctors offices. That never used to be a thing. The thought of being an elderly person and getting told to jump through all these hoops just to get help is terrifying. I can barely handle it at 25.

The staff at Volusia Medical Center are very professional. It is easy to make appointments without waiting weeks or months. I have been going here for three years. I greatly appreciate PA Julian Johnson who works closely with me to improve my thyroid levels, blood pressure and weight management.
